Monthly Mid-Day Wellness

Jumpstart your workday! Take a 15-minute wellness session to tackle your work week.

Join acclaimed yoga and wellness instructor Cara Gilman for a sprint session for breathwork, yoga, meditation, or a combination of all three. Cara will lead 15-minute sessions for CanalSide visitors from on Tuesday, December 10 from 11:30am-1:30pm. She will be back on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. 

All are welcome, no equipment or yoga mat is needed, and the classes are completely free.

Each session is centered upon a theme that will be carried throughout the meditation and yoga flow. Participants are welcome to join the whole session or attend a portion of it. Each meditation segment will work breathwork, and a guided visualization. Each yoga flow segment will consist of standing yoga postures. No yoga clothes or equipment is needed for these classes. 

Session 1

11:30 to 11:45: Grounding Meditation

11:45 to 12pm: Yoga Flow - Steady + Strong 
This session opens with breathwork, and then closes with a body scan visualization that will ground your body and mind. The yoga flow opens with standing postures that fosters strength and heat, and transitions into standing balances that explores steadiness. 

Session 2:

12:15 to 12:30pm: Releasing Meditation
12:30 to 12:45pm: Yoga Flow - Twist it Out

This session consists of an energizing breathwork exercise and visualization that will give you the energy you need as you head into the rest of your day. The yoga flow consists of a fun twisting sequence, that like the meditation segment, will energize you.

Session 3:

1 to 1:15pm: Intention Setting Meditation 

1:15 to 1:30pm: Yoga Flow - Happy Hips

This session explores breath awareness and visualization to calm the body and mind. The yoga flow begins with chest and hamstring openers, and then explores a feel-good hip focused flow to leave the body and mind in a calm state.
